Friends Forever Girls Doll Campaign

Monday, March 30th, 2009

We’re thrilled to announce our latest campaign of reviews and giveaways of the Friends Forever Girls dolls. These Friends Forever Girls Logobeautiful 18″ dolls come dressed in fashionable outfits that are cool yet age appropriate. Each doll is delivered with a copy of The First Day of Forever, a well-written chapter book introducing each of the dolls and their personalities.

Fifteen Mom Blog Marketing bloggers received a Friends Forever Girl doll and are currently reviewing them. Each blogger is hosting a giveaway contest, so head on over to each blog for a chance to win your choice of a Friends Forever Girls doll.

The dolls are reasonably priced at $59 and customers can enter the code “Spring” at checkout, from now until April 20 to receive a free Girl Friends Forever t-shirt with their order (a $15.99 value).

  • Kristin at An Ordinary Life reviewed Reina. She wrote, “As a parent I love that each of the dolls teaches giving, caring and respect.” Kristin’s contest ends today, March 30.
  • Maria over at Ree’s Space reviewed Natalie. She wrote, “When the box arrived I was like a little kid myself. I couldn’t wait to open the colorful box to reveal the doll inside. I spread open the tissue paper and actually gasped. She was more beautiful than I had expected.” Maria’s contest ends on April 6.
  • Lois at Goodies for Mom reviewed Reina. She wrote, “Reina is of Hispanic heritage. Reina wants to be a veterinarian, and loves animals. She works hard in school. She really is a beautiful doll any girl would love to own. Her clothing is soft and well made with lots of details from the ruffle on her pants bottom, to her clogs, to the fringe on her shawl.” Lois’ contest ends today, March 30.
  • At a Frog in My Soup, Shera reviewed Marlee. She commented, “These dolls truly are beautiful.  High quality and perfect for school age girls who love to collect and play with dolls.” Shera’s contest is over on April 3.
  • Mir posted her review at Want Not. Her contest was over on March 25. Here is an excerpt of her review, “Regular readers know that I always strive to give away stuff here that I really like, but even still, occasionally a product or a company really stands out. This is one of those times; the Friends Forever dolls are high-quality vinyl play dolls that teach about self-esteem, friendship, and responsibility instead of about putting on make-up and chasing boys. (I know! What a novel concept in a doll these days!)
  • Deb at Mom’s Take on Things reviewed Natalie. She put her three daughters to work reviewing the doll and they concluded, “The quality of the doll is amazing – the hair feels smooth and silky and came styled with a couple of small braids in it. Her vividly blue eyes have actual lashes, and her features are very delicate and realistic-looking. The clothes are also very high quality with incredible detail – even the side pocket on the track pants is real, to my daughter’s amazement. … I love that the Friends Forever Girls are ‘role models’ that I am comfortable with my daughters emulating, and they simply love that the characters are fun and relevant to their own lives.” Deb’s contest ends on April 8.
  • Vivien reviewed Natalee on Cool Moms Rule, although she felt that she had more in common with journal-writing Marlee. In her review, she jokingly asks, “What’s not to like aboutFriends Forever Girls? The site’s founders are both Moms who wanted to create ethnically diverse (yay!) dolls that daughters could relate to. The dolls are age-appropriate, with realistic bodies (another huge yay!). And each dolls has her own unique personality, as told in her storybook (and yet another huge yay! for encouraging reading).” The Cool Moms Rule contest ends on Friday, April 10.
  • On Brain Foggles, Connie concluded, “With all of the negative media images, marketing that is focused on children, and toys and dolls that are poor role models, this is the type of doll I want my daughter to own. The Brain Foggles contest is over on April 1.
